Bill Perry spoke about the basics of donor research. He started with talking about ethics and privacy concerns which are both very important in researching. We have to stay confidential with the information we find and also we have limitations on what can be researched- only information that is available to the public. Next he spoke about capacity and affinity. Capacity is the wealth or assets a person may have and the affinity is the inclination someone has to give to your cause because of their interest in your mission. He gave us information on what we should know about a person and what information we will find or will not find. He also gave us many resources to get us started.

The lecture was very good. Bill Perry was very informative. You could tell he really knows what he is talking about. He gave us a great place to start researching.
