Abriendo Caminos at Fresno State (modeled after the Univ. of Illinois program; see familyresiliency.illinois.edu/research/abriendo-caminos ) is seeking a bilingual part-time (5-8 hours per week) paid Project Coordinator for its Fall 2016 Project.
The Project Coordinator would:
– help recruit 35 families with incentives for participation (eligibility criteria for families includes Spanish as a first language, having a child between the ages of 5-18, and country of origin being Puerto Rico or Mexico)
– help lead and deliver information through workshops at Fresno State on Saturdays (10:30am-12:30pm), beginning October 1st . Data collection (pre-testing) will begin September 24th .
The goal of the workshops is to increase healthy living in Latino families through healthy eating, physical activity, and family togetherness.
