iCan Tri Junior Triathlon Club is seeking an EXPO Director. This

Position Description: The 6th annual iCAN TRI Youth Triathlon Event will
be held at Clovis North Educational Center on Sunday July, 16, 2017 for
youth ages 6-19 and adults. This is a sanctioned, USA Triathlon Regional
Event (California, Arizona and Nevada).

Responsible for recruiting and organizing all exhibitors and sponsors
within the athletic village and EXPO area. This person will also direct the
setup, maintenance, and cleanup of the EXPO area.

– Research and recruit exhibitors that align and compliment this
triathlon event
– Search out potential EXPO exhibitor prospects
– Communicate with exhibitors and secure exhibitor contracts
– Review and revise existing EXPO site plan to accommodate exhibitors
and vendors
– Populate and provide EXPO site plan for Race Director
– Supervise exhibitor’s pre-race set-up and management on race day
– Secure and hang all race event and sponsor banners
– Supervise exhibitor tear-down and departure

Hours/Days: 75 Hours Total, to be arranged

Award Amount: $750 Scholarship, payable in late August 2017 (must be
enrolled during fall 2017 semester)

Qualifications: Applicants should have a strong passion for the mission
and vision of iCAN Junior Triathlon Club and the iCAN TRI Triathlon event.
Strong interpersonal and organizational skills; understand the sports
marketing needs of the event; excellent communication skills; be
innovative, creative; detail oriented; effectively manages multiple tasks;
intermediate to advanced knowledge of popular social media platforms and
the internet; and outgoing, friendly, energetic, with an eagerness to serve
the public interest in a fast pace, high-energy environment.
