*Position Description:* Assist in strengthening the Volunteer Program
infrastructure by utilizing Raisers Edge database software to track
volunteer statistical information such as hours served, tasks completed,
and work scheduled. Assist with the event planning and coordinating of
first annual volunteer recognition breakfast. Develop new marketing
materials to promote Volunteer Program. Maintain a safe, secure and
supportive mission-driven work environment with staff.

*Duties include: *Assisting Volunteer Manager with processing data, record
keeping, and reporting of volunteer information utilizing Raisers Edge
database; Assisting with implementation of program and procedures including
recruitment, orientation, and hour verification of volunteers; Coordinating
duties and schedules with all Poverello House volunteers; Completing 2 hr.
training for the Raiser’s Edge module; Developing social media posts that
promotes philanthropy at Poverello House; Coordinating the first annual
Volunteer Recognition Breakfast with Development Director; Creating new
volunteer brochures/ marketing materials to recruit volunteers; and
Participating and attending staff meetings and other committee meetings as

*Hours/Days:* 75 Hours Total, to be arranged

*Award Amount:* $750 Scholarship, to be awarded after mid-September 2017
through the Community Service Scholarship Program. Must be regularly
enrolled during fall 2017 semester.

*Majors:* Psychology, Sociology, Humanics, Business Administration or

*Qualifications: *

– Desire to work for a social service agency serving the homeless and
– Ability to handle confidential information with discretion
– Written and verbal communication skills
– Familiar with Microsoft Office programs
– Enthusiasm for the mission and vision of Poverello House and those we
– Reliable, detail-oriented, and organized
– Ability to work independently
– Some limited physical effort may be required
