Mi Familia Vota –Canvasser Job Description
Fresno, CA
Part-time October 3 – November 6, 2018

The Organization:
Mi Familia Vota Education Fund is a national non-profit organization that
unites Latino,
immigrant, and allied communities to promote social and economic justice
through increased civic participation by promoting citizenship, voter
registration, and voter participation.

The Position:
The canvasser will be responsible for registering voters and mobilizing
voters. Canvassers will also be responsible for maintaining a good
relationship with the
community and reporting to their supervisor.

Primary Duties and Responsibilities:
 Achieving daily goals
 Canvass Latino communities in the County.
 Engage community members and voters around Voter Registration, Voter
Education,

Vote by Mail and Get Out To Vote.
 Identify likely voters for the November elections.
 Increase Latino voter turnout through Get-Out-The-Vote tactics.
 Submitting nightly reports of doors knocked; contacts and commitment
cards.
 Finish Tally Reports from previous night (weekly report updates).
 Debrief with lead canvasser on daily basis.
 Organize literature and clipboards.

Qualifications/Requirements:
 Bi-lingual in English and Spanish.
 Ability to be flexible and understanding with changes
 Reliable transportation
 Valid driver’s license and car insurance
 Some Campaign Field Experience is a plus.

Compensation:
$15 per/hr.
