Service-Learning in partnership with Associated Students, Inc. and Friends
for Civic Engagement is pleased to announce that applications are open for
2019 Alternative Break Team Leaders. Applications are due by 11:59 PM

We are looking for candidates who love serving their community and want to
share that love with their fellow Bulldogs. Alternative Breaks is a
student-driven, student-led program. As such, Team Leaders lead the way in
planning, implementing, and facilitating a multi-day service project that
engages several of their peers in a meaningful service experience
benefitting our community.

One project that is currently being planned is a three-day backpacking and
trail improvement project along the Merced River in Yosemite National
Park. This project is currently scheduled to take place April 13th – 15th
and will be coordinated in conjunction with the Merced River Watershed
Council. If you love the outdoors and want to help lead a unique service
and learning experience, this may be the perfect opportunity!
