Humanics Scholars Consulting for Arte Americas

This semester I had the opportunity to be a part of the consulting leadership team that studied Arte Americas in the capacity of leadership effectiveness. We were able to get hands-on experience in consulting with this Community Benefit Organization (CBO). That was a major highlight for me during the semester. The team worked together to develop an assessment plan for Arte Americas for human resources and volunteer management with a focus on their current practices and the leadership they have in place with staff, volunteers, board members, and executive director. The team consisted of four other Humanics scholars, Andi Galdamez, team leader, Korio Masumoto co-leader, Yer Vang, and Kelvin F. Alfaro as our team consulting coach from Anchoring Success. The opportunity that the Humanics Program offers for scholars to get actual experience in working with Community Benefit Organizations (CBOs) excels dedication and commitment to the scholars. Being a part of the Humanics Program at Fresno State has impacted my professional development to a capacity that has been valuable to my education and working within Community Benefit Organizations that I am a part of and plan to get involved with. Thank you Arte Americas for giving the scholars and I the opportunity to work with you on the assessment projects.
